Cajita para Paula/ Box for Paula

Y aquí está la cajita!! Para hacerla usé un tuto de esta página. Me gustó mucho la idea de poder meter dentro los regalos...lástima que luego no cupieran! Pero bueno, así puede guardar ella lo que quiera en la cajita. Como se ve en las fotos (que son las suyas también), lleva un mini album, y lo que hice fue aprovechar las páginas del mini para añadir pequeños detallitos: tags para journaling, tickets...cosas más o menos planitas. ¡Gracias por vuestras visitas!

And here's the box! I made it following a tutorial from this page. I liked the idea of using the box to put the presents inside...but I didn't measure well and they didn't fit!! Well, at least she can use the box to store flowers or something like that. As you can see in the photos (again, I'm using HER photos), there's a mini book on the top, and what I did was using the pages to add small stuff like tickets, journaling spots.... TFL!!





Los papeles son de Basic Grey (Kioshi y básicos pastel) , MME (no recuerdo la colección, es una antigua) y Melissa Frances (5th Avenue). Las flores las hice con un troquel de die-namics (mini rolled roses), y la palabra "play" la recorté con la cricut. La mariposa es un troquel de Marianne Designs y en el centro lleva perlas hechas con liquid pearls lavender.

I used papers from Basic Grey (Kioshi and basic pastels, or something like that) , MME (don't remember the collection) and Melissa Frances (5th Avenue) .  The flowers were made using a Die-namics die (mini rolled roses), and the word "play" was cut with my cricut. The butterfly is a Marianne Designs die that I run through my big shot, and added some pearls with liquid pearls (lavender).



Usé la cricut para cortar el tag y la técnica del resist para decorarlo (con un sello de inkadinkado y tintas distress: vintage photo y walnut stain). Envejecí los bordes y les añadí stickles.

La imagen the las niñas es un recorte de un papel de Melissa Frances. El arabesco es un troquel de Tim Holtz para sizzix. Lo recorté en cartón, lo entinté con colorbox y le añadí perlas con liquid pearls lavender.

La flor grande es de Prima, las pequeñas están hechas con el troquel de die-namics.

 

I cut the tag with my cricut and used the resist technique to decorate it (I used an inkadinkado stamp and distress inks: vintage photo and walnut stain). Then I distressed the edges and added some stickles to them.

The girls image is from a Melissa Frances Paper. The flourish is a Tim Holt's die for sizzix. I used chipboard to cut it and the inked it with colorbox inks. Finally, I added some pearls using my liquid pearls (lavender).

The big flower is prima's, and the small ones were handmade with my die-namics die. 






 

tarjeta cumpleañera/ birthday card

Una breve actualización para enseñaros esta tarjetita! Es una tarjetita de cumpleaños para Paula, que como sabreis muchas (y las que no, no os perdais su blog) hace verdaderas maravillas y unas fotos estupendas. De hecho, estas fotos son suyas!! las estoy usando porque eran mucho mejores que las mías. No me gusta hacer tarjetas, y por lo general el resultado no me convence en absoluto, pero en este caso estoy bastante contenta. Gracias por visitarme!

This is a short entry to show a card! It's a birthday card for the talented Paula (don't miss her blog). She makes amazing projects  and awesome photos. In fact, she made these photos! I'm using them because they're much better than mine. I don't really like making cards and usually hate the result, but I'm pretty satisfied wih this one.TFL!!!!




Para el fondo usé una cartulina embosada blanca y la entinté con distress peeled paint y vintage photo. Después recorté una blonda con mi cricut y la pulvericé con un mist casero. Usé la cricut para recortar la dos formas "bracket" (¿cómo se diría en español?) en cartulina bazzill y un papel de my mind's eye (colección oh la la) y las superpuse.

La imagen del niño es un recorte de un papel polaco, creo (no recuerdo la marca). Usé mi nueva big shot (regalo de cumple...me encanta!!!) y un troquel de joy crafts "leaves" para recortar las hojas. Las pulvericé con el mismo mist casero que la blonda.

I used an embossed cardstock for the background. It was white cardstock and I inked it with peeled paint and vintage photo distress inks. The I cut a doily with my cricut and misted it with a homemade walnut mist. I used my cricut again to cut the bracket shapes in bazzill cardstock and a my min's eye Oh La La paper, and then layered them.

The boy picture is a cutout from a polish paper (don't remember the brand name). I cut the banner with my cricut and added a "celebrate" rubon. Finally, I used my new big shot (birthday gift...love it!!!) and a joy crafts leaves die to cut the leaves, and misted them with my homemade mist.


Para hacer la flor usé el troquel Rose Creations de Spellbinders, y luego le di stickles en los bordes.

 I used my Rose Creations Spellbinders die to make the flower, and then added  stickles to the edges.

 

Turbo

Esta es mi interpretación de la plantilla 56 de Sketchabilities. Es mi última página en el equipo de diseño y me da mucha pena, porque ha sifo fantástico formar parte de él!!

La página no salió exactamente como esperaba, es un poco oscuro para mi gusto. He usado algunas fotos de Turbo, mi queridísimo y gordo gato. Mi chico y yo lo adoptamos hace seis años, cuando era una traviesa bolita de pelo...más mono!!! Ahora es grande y gordo, le encanta dormir...pero sigue siendo adorable!!!

This is my take on the sketch #56 from Sketchabilities.It's my last reveal with the design team and I'm pretty sad, since it0s been fantastic being part of it!

The page didn't turned out exactly how I expected, it's a bit dark for my taste. I used some photos of Turbo, my fat and dear cat. My boyfriend and I adopted him 6 years ago, when he was a mischievous and little ball of fur...so cute!! now he's big and fat, loves to sleep...but he's still adorable!!



Los papeles son de Pink Paislee (Hocus Pocus) y Prima (no recuerdo la colección). Envejecí los bordes con agua, tinta distress y mi paper distresser. Los bordes ondulados los hice con una cuchilla especial para la cizalla cutterpede.

Papers are from Pink Paislee (Hocus Pocus) and Prima (don't remember the collection). I distressed all the edges with water, distress ink and my paper distresser. The scallop edges were made with a special cutterpede blade.





 

 

El reloj y el farol los corté con la cricut, los entinté con distress black soot y luego los embosé con UTEE (3-4 capas).

The clock and the lamp were cut with cricut in cardstock, inked with black soot distress ink and embossed with UTEE powder (3-4 coats)

 

 

 

La etiqueta para journaling es un sello de The Girls Paperie. Lo estampé con tinta colorbox y lo embosé con polvos transparentes. Después lo entinté con distress. El "scaredy-cat" es una pegatina de la colección Eerie de Basic Grey. Lo pegué a un trozo de papel y lo recorté.

The journaling spot is a stamp from The Girls Paperie. I stamped it in white cardstock with a colorbox ink and then embossed it with clear powder. Then inked it with distress inks. The "scaredy-cat" is a sticker from Basic Grey Eerie collection. I adhered it to a piece of paper and cut it out.



Las flores están hechas con unos troquelados del troquel Tattered Florals de Tim Holtz que me regaló mi amiga Esther (¡¡¡mil gracias Esther!!!). Los pulvericé con glimmer mist y sprays caseros (teneis el tuto en la página de "tutoriales"), y después arrugué las hojas, las volví a abrir, las dejé secar y las superpuse.

The flowers were made with some die cuts from Tim Holtz's Tattered Florals die that my friend Esther gave me (thanks a lot Esther!!!!)  I misted them with glimmer and homemade mists (tutoral avaliable in the "tutorials" page), and then scrunched the petals, opened them up, let them dry and layered them.
