LO Family Time

Aunque la vuelta de vacaciones no me ha sentado nada bien, por fin  he conseguido sacar un rato para mi y terminar (por fin) esta página que tenía atascada desde que salió la paleta en TCR. Además quería probar a hacer un video del proceso, y no sé qué tal habrá salido...lo mismo nunca ve la luz jejeje.

Although getting back to routine has been hard I finally managed to have some "me" time and finish this page. I was stuck on it since the palette at TCR was released. Besides, I wanted to make a video of the process,and I don't know how it has turned out...maybe it's so bad I'll never post it

Los papeles son de Prima, Crate Paper (Emma's shoppe) y Echo Park (Victoria Garden).Detrás de la foto hay una transparencia de Glitz Design y algunos restos de otros papeles.

Las flores de Prima (la azul) y de Wild Orchid Crafts (las demás). El reloj, la jaula, el adorno de la derecha, los corazones...todo están cortado con la cameo y pintado con dabber espresso. Las mariposas grandes están cortadas con la cameo y llevan glitter. Las pequeñas son un regalo de mi amiga Esther. La cinta de film es de Tim Holtz.

Papers are from Prima, Crate Paper (Emma's shoppe) and Echo Park (Victoria Garden). Behind the photo there's a Glitz Design transparency and some scraps.

Flowers are from Prima (the blue one) and Wild Orchid Crafts (the other ones). The clock, the birdcage, the heart string...all those embellies were cut with my silhouette cameo and painted with my dabber espresso. The big butterflies were cut with my cameo too, and I added some glitter to them; the small butterflies were a gift from my friend Esther.The film strip is from Tim Holtz.

Algunos regalitos/Some gifts

Hace poco fue el cumpleaños de Ana y Esther y,aunque con retraso, quise mandarles algunos detallitos.

A few weeks ago Ana and Esther had their birthday and I sent them these small gifts

Para Esther hice esta caja-tarjeta y un portanotas magnoliero. Dentro de la cajita metí varios troqueles

For Esther I made this box-card and a post-it holder. I put some die cuts inside the box.

La caja está cortada con la cameo, lo mismo que el "felicidades". Los ratoncitos son un sello, cortesía de Paula, y las flores son de Wild Orchid Crafts. Las maripositas son un regalo de Esther.

The box was cut with the silhouette cameo, same as the "felicidades" (congratulations) word. The mice are a stampmy friend Paula let me use, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The small butterflies were a gift from Esther.

Usé un troquel de bordes de Martha Stewart para el borde (doily lace). La magnolia está coloreada con promarkers y la flor es de prima.

Shadow box

Bueno, lo primero gracias a todas por desearme un buen viaje, ha sido fantástico! lo malo la vuelta, claro. La ciudad me ha encantado, me he comprado muchísima ropa (scrap poco...menuda decepción), hemos andado una barbaridad, tengo fotos para parar un tren...un viaje estupendo, vamos.

Este fin de semana hemos tenido la "Primer Scraptupper", que viene siendo una reunion scrapera, y nos lo pasamos en grande! habrá que repetir muy pronto con la segunda jejeje.

Decidimos hacer un amigo invisible e intercambiar los regalos en la reunión, así que en cuanto se hizo el sorteo me puse a darle vueltas al asunto, porque me había tocado María, que ya tiene de todo! cajas, cajoneras, marcos, cuelgapuertas...vamos, no se me ocurría nada que no tuviese ya.

Justamente entonces colgaron en la tienda de Silhouette una shadowbox para cortar y montar, era perfecta!! Me puse a ello y montarla fue bastante sencillo, siguiendo los videos que colgó la autora (Lori Whitlock). Aunque tuve algunos problemas con el pegamento en ciertos puntos al final lo conseguí, y ya solo quedaba decorarla. Espero que os guste, y gracias por las visitas!

First of all, thank you all for your kind whishes. The trip was awesome! I was really sad to come back, loved the city! We saw lots of things, bought lots of clothes (not very much scrap stuff though...I was very dissapointed), made hundreds of photos...a wonderful trip!

This weekend we've had what we called the"First Scraptupper" (a crop), it's been so fun! we've had a great time and I hope that the "Second Scraptupper" will take place soon :)

We decided to make a gift exchange, like a Secret Santa. As soon as I knew who was my receiver (María)  I started to worry about what to do for her. Boxes, chest of drawers, frames...she had all those things already!

Then, at the silhouette online store, Lori Whitlock uploaded a shadow box. A shadow box to  cut with the cameo! it was perfect!! I followed her assembly tutorial and soon I had it assembled, ready to decorate. I hope you like it, and thank for looking!

Los papeles son de Websters Pages (Ladies and Gents), los elegí  porque tenían muchos motivos para recortar y decorar. En el borde de la caja estampé un sello de Prima con tinta versafine toffee. La cinta del borde es de Marianne Design. Para las patas usé unas perlas de esas de abalorios.

Papers are from Webster Pages (Ladies and Gents), I chose them because they are perfect for fussy cutting. I stamped a Prima mini stamp along the edges of the box with versafine toffee ink. The ribbon on the bottom is from Marianne Design. I used rounded pearls as legs.

La llave es del premio de Berry71Bleu, más bonita! los zapatos están hechos con la cameo y la técnica del falso chipboard, luego los pinté con acrílica rosa y les eché glimmer mist Rose Tea. Por último les di una capa de pintura craquelada Rock Candy. El abanico es un die cut de K&Company, y la flor es de Prima.

The key was part of the Berry71Bleu prize, so cute! I used my silhouette cameo and the faux chipboard technique to make the shoes, painted them with pink acrylic paint and misted them with Rose Tea Glimmer Mist. Finally, I applied them a coat of distress crackle paint Rock Candy. The fan is a K&Company die cut, and the flower is from Prima.

El guardapelo del centro también es de Berry71Bleu. La etiqueta "Oh la la" es un adorno de tela de Webster Pages. El abanico, el marco del espejo y el maniquí están hechos con la silhouette cameo .

The locket is from Berry71Bleu too. The "Oh la la" sticker is a fabric embellishment from Webster Pages. The fan, the mirror frame and the dressform were cut with the silhouette cameo.
